Congratulations to Charlotte Reich (ZenithOptimedia) and Andy Walsh (Mediacom) for winning both Best Magazine Campaign over £250,000 and the prestigious 2008 Grand Prix Award at this years' IPC Media Magazine Planning Awards (in association with MediaWeek), held at the RSA on 4th June.
Their entry for Mars M&Ms, positioning the product as the snack for young men to chose when 'gaming' with their mates was described by judges as “a fantastic combination of creativity and effectiveness” and “summed up in a word as … fabulous”.
Charlotte and Andy are victorious is what is the 2nd year of the IPC Magazine Planning Awards. Designed to identify where the art of paid-for-engagement has been combined with the science of return-on-investmenmt, the awards recognise, highlight and reward the best magazine planning talent in Britain today.
And 2008 was a bumper year of great quality entries in all six categories. Other successful entrants and prestigious winners in their own right are;

Catherine Ashford & Sarah Meyer (Mediacom) for Corsodyl in Best use of Consumer Insight in a Magazine/Multi-Media Campaign
Amy Parker & Anna Winsbrow (Mediaedge:CIA) for Wilkinson Sword in Best Use of Online Magazines in a Multi-Media Campaign
Toby Bowerman (Good Stuff) & Kate Milligan (MGOMD) for Anne Summers I Best Innovation in a Magazine Campaign
Megan Butler (Rise Communications) for Fab! Lollies in Best Use of Magazines in a Multi-Media Campaign
In exchange for their hard work, winners received a handsome trophy and a cheque for £500.
