Men throughout the UK will soon be able to enjoy the unique and fast-paced humour of popular men's magazine NUTS on their televisions when NUTSTV launches later this year.

The new men's multi-platform television channel will offer live programming and interactivity specially designed for men. The first stage of launch will be a four-hour NUTSTV block (21:00-01:00) live, every night on Freeview, reaching more than eight million households across the UK with more platforms to launch at a later stage.

NUTSTV will have all the character and personality of the magazine, but will not replicate it, offering its own unique take on girls, sport, entertainment, gadgets, cars and news.

Access will also be via broadband connection at www.nuts.co.uk. The successful Nuts website already attracts more than 600,000 unique users every month. The new TV component will offer users catch-up TV, unseen footage and a chance to join in.

Advertising sales for the TV block will be handled by Turner Broadcasting System. Magazine advertising sales will continue to be managed by IPC Ignite, and both teams will be working closely to develop bespoke cross-platform opportunities for clients looking to reach this lucrative but elusive audience of young men.

Eric Fuller, MD of IPC Ignite, explains "Nuts is the most characterful, dynamic and talked-about men's weekly and we are perfectly positioned to add television to our print, online and mobile reach. Multi-platform growth is at the heart of our brand strategy and TBS is the ideal partner to take us into the world of digital TV."

The channel will launch later this year.
