NME TV reaches over nine million alternative music enthusiasts across the globe. The popular channel provides exclusive up-to-date charts, including the Club NME chart, and breaks the latest music news from the 24/7 NME newsroom.
In addition to music news, NME TV also features video-led programming, as well as exclusive interviews and footage from the hottest acts.
NME publishing director Paul Cheal says: “By joining Freesat, NME TV gains access to an important new audience across the UK, marking another exciting step in the evolution of the NME brand.”
Freesat managing director Emma Scott comments: “We are dedicated to delivering a wide range of high quality entertainment to our viewers and are delighted to add an iconic brand such as NME TV to the Freesat service. The addition of this new channel complements our current music offering, bringing yet another great brand to our portfolio of over 140 channels and services. We expect NME TV to have huge appeal for our audience.”
Remy Minute, CSC chief executive, adds: “In launching NME TV it joins ten other CSC channels on Freesat, demonstrating our support for this increasingly important platform and also the continued growth of CSC as a independent UK broadcaster.”
NME TV will automatically be added via viewers’ Freesat TVs or digital boxes, so viewers will not need to take any action to access the services.
