NME Radio partners Hewlett Packard for the HP Uni Tour

NME Radio today announces a partnership with technology company Hewlett Packard to launch a unique music event to promote the new HP Pavilion laptop to university students.

Visiting six universities in October, NME Radio Presents the HP Uni Tour will feature a series of gigs at university unions with live music from VV Brown, Does It Offend You Yeah and Bombay Bicycle Club amongst others.

NME Radio’s Jamie Theaker will be taking on DJ duties at the events, while NME Video News presenter Naomi Shimada will carry out filmed interviews at the gigs.

Prior to each leg of the tour, a promotional bus will be parked on campus, giving students the opportunity to sample the new HP Pavilion laptops and get one-to-one time with HP’s technology experts on-board.

The two-month long partnership will include HP advertorials in the pages of NME and an online hub at NME.COM, where interview footage will be available following the events.

Jonathan Boakes, Ignite Sponsorship & Brand Solutions manager, says: “This is the perfect treat for new students following their hectic fresher’s activity – they get to sample great new Pavilion laptops courtesy of HP for their work and listen to some fantastic music courtesy of NME Radio for pleasure. What more could any student need?”

NME Radio presents the HP Uni Tour dates:
3rd Oct St. Andrews
8th Oct Sheffield
12th Oct Swansea
16th Oct Birmingham
19th Oct Surrey
