During the early 2000's the cultural and political shift toward healthy eating gained weight. Political debate turned more than ever toward the cost to the NHS of the country's poor diet; television adverts were rapped for misrepresenting the real 'low fat' qualities of their products and there was a real possibility of a ban on food advertising to children.

As a result the population began substituting 'traditional' fast foods with healthier menus and McDonalds began noticing a significant shortfall in customer visits.

McDonalds fought back with a revolutionised menu, retrained their staff and re-designed the look of their restaurants. They then had to tell people about it ... enter IPC.
